WebCoherence calls on all web users to become intrigued by the behaviour of the various phenomena that emerge out of the web. Our intention is for students and researchers to use this site as a platform to conduct experiments on those phenomena, and we will publish their findings to the general web audience. We encourage new and existing members to engage in our experiments, in the expectation their participation will lead to a better understanding by the e-community of its relationship with the Internet.
Students who wish to conduct experiments on this platform, and who want to use it as part of their research for course submissions are more than welcome to use this material freely – although we would appreciate an acknowledgment.
If there is a specific experiment that you would like the community to conduct, you can always suggest it to us, and if we deem it appropriate we will post it before our community, and they will not only give you their considered advice, but will also help you gather substantial amounts of data for your experiment.
Web users, who have been victims (or beneficiaries) of the vagueries of the internet are also encouraged to post their stories, and create discussions around optimal ways to counter (or amplify) such incidents happening to others.
WebCoherence being a community is set up for and by the members. The administrators serve as facilitators to promote experiments that study how order emerges out of the chaos of the internet. We would encourage you to subscribe to our RSS feed so you can keep yourself updated with our findings.
